According to AICTE approval, diploma holders are eligible to join a B.E. program through lateral entry in any discipline, regardless of the branch studied in their diploma course
For example, a student with a diploma in civil engineering can choose to pursue a B.E. in computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering (EEE), electronics and communication engineering (ECE), mechanical engineering, or any other engineering field available through lateral entry.
